GPS auto-attendance (geo-fenced WFO)
Once office locations are available for your company, your phone can mark WFO for you automatically when you arrive at the office.
Follow these steps
- 1
Once office locations are available for your company, Settings and the Attendance page will show an "Auto attendance" option.
- 2
Turn on auto-attendance.
- 3
Grant location permission when asked. On the mobile app choose "Allow all the time" so marking works even after you leave the app.
- 4
Arrive at the office on a working day: the app detects you inside the geo-fence and marks the day as WFO — no check-in needed.
- 5
Use "Check now" on the Attendance page or dashboard to trigger a location check immediately.
- 6
Check the Attendance calendar: auto-marked days show a small location pin. Tap the day to see which office location the geo-fence matched.
If you do not see the auto-attendance option, office locations have not been set up for your company yet — please contact your company support team.
Good to know
Auto-marking only fires if the day is not already marked, so it never overwrites a leave day or a manual entry.
On the web, location checks run while the tab is open; the Android/iOS app keeps checking in the background.
You stay in control — every auto-marked day can be edited or removed by hand. Editing it manually clears the pin, and the day shows as "Marked manually" from then on.
If the matched office is later renamed or removed by your admin, the calendar still shows the office name recorded when the day was auto-marked.
